Walk for Memories: Alzheimer Society Fundraiser

Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia affect many families. Sadly, the number of people affected is increasing by the years. Next month, on February 3rd, there will be the 28th annual Walk for Memories fundraiser by the Alzheimer Society of Toronto. It will start at the Sheraton Centre Hotel and 2000 plus families will walk 2.5 kilometers along the path in support of their family members and to raise awareness and fight for a cure. There will also be entertainment, including many musical performers along the walk to keep everyone’s spirits lifted. I will be performing for 20 minutes as well. Though there is no registration fee, everyone is encouraged to raise a minimum of $100. So far $324,232.58 has been raised.
