Many interesting TV shows and movies ranging from Marvel to Hotel Transylvania will be coming out in the new year. This list will give you an idea of what to watch for in 2022.
1. Spider-Man - No Way Home
This new movie is coming out on December 16th, which is before this newspaper's release date; however, I believed it was important enough to make the list. As the third installment in the newest Tom Holland Marvel Spider-Man series, it has captivated the interest of millions of Marvel fans. This movie presents the aftermath of Peter Parker’s identity being revealed. Fans everywhere are excited for this new Marvel movie, and for good reason.
2. Hotel Transylvania 4: Transformania
While on the subject of installments for popular series, I’m pleased to announce that Hotel Transylvania 4 is coming out in January. That’s right, our favorite monster hotel is at it again with some more strange occurrences. According to the name and the trailer, it has something to do with transformations, and I am excited to see just what is going to happen.
3. Jurassic World: Dominion
Fan-favorite Jurassic World is back with another movie: Jurassic World: Dominion. To be released in June 2022, this new movie has received a ton of publicity, which isn’t surprising given the franchise’s popularity. Described as “the start of a new era” for the franchise, this film explores humans and dinosaurs in mainland United States.
4. Avatar 2
Avatar, an iconic, award-winning sci-fi movie from 2009, is coming back in what will hopefully be December 2022: a long way away, that’s for sure. Protagonist Jake Sulley, and Neytiri, one of my personal favorite characters from the original (after Trudy, or pilot girl or course, she’s the best) are back at it again with more danger.
5. Thor: Love and Thunder
Of course, there is no way I can go through a list of future movies without mentioning Marvel a few hundred times (that’s an exaggeration, but I have to admit they make a lot of movies), especially when talking about one of the MCU’s (stands for Marvel Cinematic Universe, or the more recent movies coming out) most beloved heroes: Thor, and his new film.
Including an appearance of Jane Foster, who most will recognize as a scientist associated with Thor in both the movies and comics, as well as possible appearances by the famous Guardians of the Galaxy, this movie has moved fans to the edge of their seats waiting for the release date (July 2022.)
6. Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness
Marvel is seriously on a roll. It’s impossible to keep track of all their movies coming out these days. Despite having multiple important roles in various other MCU movies (including the first movie on this list), this is only the second movie focused on Dr. Strange himself.
We all know that Marvel is not afraid to address the subject of the multiverse (the concept of having many different universes), and is not worried about bringing in other characters from other movies, which is why fan-favorite villain-turned-hero Wanda Maximoff is coming to the screens in this movie for the first time since the airing of the beloved MCU mini-series, WandaVision.
